Experimental pasta tools for social, tactile cooking

Conceived with designer George Plionis to encourage social, tactile cooking; the kind where everyone crowds around the kitchen to cook and catch up over a long leisurely evening. The tools they created make new food shapes— billowing sea creatures, curving fans and tiny succulents all come to mind —  for pasta, cookies and other kinds of dough, but they can just as easily be used for a host of other run-of-the-mill cooking chores.

Each tool is hammered from a flat sheet of copper and will undoubtedly be passed down for generations to come. (2016)
